The Literacy Council of Northern Virginia is closely following the updates and instructions from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Virginia Department of Health and our local healthcare community to limit the spread of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and ensure the safety of our students, teachers, and our community.
LCNV and our community are preparing for all scenarios.
As Fairfax County Public Schools reminds us, coronavirus does not recognize race, nationality, or ethnicity. Having a specific cultural or ethnic background does not make a person more nor less vulnerable to this illness. We highly recommend our students and instructors stay up-to-date with information from reliable sources, and be vigilant with your own health. Precautions are recommended. We ask that everyone do their part to stay healthy. Wash hands frequently, monitor your health, and please rest at home and/or contact your doctor when you exhibit cold and flu-like symptoms, or simply are not feeling well.
