Dear Friends of the English Empowerment Center,
An exciting new season is upon us at the English Empowerment Center. While there are many reasons to be excited for fall, EEC is most excited for the start of our new semester! Our fall classes will begin next week, on September 25th and 26th with over 700 learners enrolled. We cannot wait for a week filled with welcoming new learners, reconnecting with friends, and encouraging learners on their journey to English language proficiency and empowerment. Throughout this newsletter, we will share many of the incredible developments happening at the English Empowerment Center.
First, we are thrilled to announce the revival of our "Instructor Spotlight" feature in each of our quarterly newsletters. At the heart of the English Empowerment Center's success are our dedicated instructors, who bring diverse backgrounds, expertise, and experiences into our classrooms. We recognize and deeply value their hard work, and are excited to kick off this series by shining a light on one of our outstanding instructors, Roshan Nawid. Roshan's journey is a testament to resilience, hard work, and determination, making him an inspiration to English language learners just starting on their own path.
The English Empowerment Center offers our beginning-level English classes three times a year, in the fall, spring, and summer. We do our best to equip our learners with tools and resources to continue their learning in the weeks between each session. There are a multitude of online learning platforms which we direct our learners to although we understand that for many learners, an interactive, in-person class can greatly benefit them. This is why we hold a free conversation class between semesters. This class provides a great opportunity for English language learners to practice their skills in a safe and comfortable environment. Instructors help lead discussions around a variety of topics, offering constructive advice and a friendly face ready to answer any questions that come their way.
In our commitment to offering the best, affordable services to our learners, the English Empowerment Center greatly values any contributions that aid us in carrying out our mission. With the fall season upon us and the leaves beginning to change, we're excited to announce a change of our own – our revamped donation page! Along with the announcement of our new online donation form, we are taking a moment to remind our community about the multitude of giving opportunities available because we understand that each person's circumstances and preferences are unique. Whether you choose to give financially or wish to gift your time and skills as a volunteer, there is a way for everyone to make a meaningful impact and be a part of the positive change we're creating together at the English Empowerment Center.
